Day 1 To Douz/Kebilli
Depart from your hotel to El Jem the famous Roman Amphitheatre. Lunch
in Sfax or Mahres. Visit the Jara Spice and Henna market in Gabes with
Horse and Carriage ride around the Oasis (optional extra; paid locally). Continue to Matmata to see the
fascinating Troglodyte dwellings and then drive to Douz for a Camel ride
into the sunset (optional extra; paid locally). Overnight Douz or Kebilli - Hotel El Mouradi in Douz
/ Hotel Oasis Dar in Kebili.
Day 2 To Tozeur
After breakfast drive to Tozeur crossing the wilderness of the Chott
El Jerid Salt lake. Visit Ong Jemel where scenes from Star Wars were shot.
Lunch in either Tozeur or Nefta. Vist the Medina in Tozeur and the Dar
Cheraiet Museum. Overnight in Tozeur at Hotel Eldorador Ksar Rouge.
Day 3 To Resort Hotel
Visit the mountain oasis of Chebika and waterfall at Tamerza - after
lunch in Gafsa - return to your hotel via Kairouan the fourth Holiest
City of Islam.
